Transport of Assignments

Shaw-Nass will undertake the transport requirements for all shipments of raw materials into Bahrain and finished product out of Bahrain.

By Road:

Shipments by road are normally restricted to countries which are members of the Gulf States (GCC), although exceptions have been made for Egypt.  Shipment is normally by open flat trailers of between 20 and 40 ton capacity.

By Sea:

Shipment by sea is normally by 40 foot open top container. The use of bulk carriers is optional depending on the client schedule.

By Air:

Shipments by air are crated and secured to ensure that the end product reaches its destination in good condition.

All Shipments of finished products are carefully packed and secured.  Contact areas are protected by dunnage or carpeting.

Shipments are to the nearest port of entry by sea and nearest airport by air.  Collection and further transportation can be arranged by Shaw-Nass.

All export of finished products are duty exempt to any countries within the GCC.

Imports of raw material, fittings, equipment, which form part of the finished product, are not subject to import duty.
